    Our commitment to sustainability

    Thanks to the confidence of this grant, we have initiated a pioneering project focused on the production of protein, fat and fertilizer using Black Soldier Larvae in an industrial plant designed for the fattening and processing of insects through alperujo.

    A sustainable alternative to wastewater treatment: total circularity

    This waste presents important ecological challenges in Spain and Europe is the management of alperujo, a by-product generated by the olive oil industry. This waste presents important ecological problems due to its volume and difficulty of use.

    At Dapibus, we have developed a circular and sustainable solution to biodigest alperujo with BSF Larva. This is capable of transforming this by-product into high value-added products.

    Project Objectives

    The main objective of this project, supported by the European Union under the LIFE program, is to demonstrate on an industrial scale the viability of this system as an effective solution to reduce the environmental impact of alperujo.

    Through the installation of our biotransformation center, we seek not only to take advantage of this by-product, but also its environmental impact and contribute to the creation of a more circular agri-food system.
